Deposit Listing – Waldorf-Inspired Baby Doll Making Workshop (Warrandyte)

I truly can’t wait to spend these special days creating together and sharing this beautiful, soul-nurturing craft with you.

This listing is for the deposit only to secure your place in my two-day Waldorf-inspired baby doll making workshop in Warrandyte.

You will receive a separate listing in early May to complete the remaining balance.

Workshop Details-

This is a full 2-day workshop, held across two Sundays from 9:30am to 5:30pm.

Please note that attendance on both days is essential to allow enough time to complete your doll.

 Over these two gentle and creative days, I will guide you step by step through the making of your own heirloom Waldorf-inspired baby doll.

You will learn how to:

• Stuff your doll with wool
• Roll and shape the head
• Attach the limbs
• Cover the head with skin fabric
• Embroider the facial features
• Assemble the head, limbs, and body
• Attach the wig securely

You will also have the option to add sweet little details such as dimples on the knees and elbows, and a belly button.

Between the two Sundays, you may choose to crochet your doll’s wig at home (basic crochet skills are recommended), and I will guide you through the process.

If you prefer, or are not comfortable with crochet, I can make the wig for you instead at no extra cost.

As we will most likely not have enough time during the workshop to make clothing, I will send you clothing patterns in advance, so you can sew your doll’s wardrobe at home if you wish.

On the Day-

Morning and afternoon tea will be provided on both days.

Please bring your own lunch, as there may not be enough time to go out during the break.

Before the Workshop-

When booking your deposit, please let me know:

• Whether you would like to make a boy or girl doll (so I can send the appropriate clothing pattern)
• Your preferred skin tone
• Your preferred hair colour
• Whether you would like to crochet the wig yourself or prefer me to make it for you
• Whether you would like the weighted option

About the weighted option:

A small pouch of tiny glass beads is added inside the doll’s body so it feels a little heavier—more like holding a real baby. The optional weight is offered at an added cost of $30. If you chose this option I will have the pouch already prepared for you on the day. 

Please note that skin tone and hair colour cannot be changed later, as materials will be prepared and purchased in advance especially for your doll.

When choosing a skin tone, I generally do not recommend the pale pink or peach tones, as they can appear too bright.

Regarding hair shades:

The image provided shows the tones I currently have available. I am also waiting on a new batch of hand-dyed wool from my supplier, so additional shades—including a black option—should be available in the coming weeks. Please let me know if this is something you would like.

Terms & Conditions

• This deposit is non-refundable
• If there are not enough participants for the workshop to go ahead, all payments will be fully refunded
• If I am unable to run one of the workshop days due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, a replacement date will be organised as soon as possible
• The remaining balance is due on 15th May (a separate listing will be sent prior to this date)
